FAMILY LIFE WITH PHOTOGRAPHER REMI PYRDOL + STEPH SHOEMAKER
For this outing, we teamed up with photographer Remi Pyrdol and his partner, art director and stylist Steph Shoemaker. We sat down — over a glass of wine, as we sometimes do — and showed them the line, let them chose their favorite pieces, and then tell their own story, which evolved into a day in the life with their two adorable children, Oliver and Matilda.
WHAT DOES HOME MEAN TO YOU?
Home is many things ... It is a place where we are together as a family, where we share, play, create, and resolve conflicts.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY TO BE AT HOME?
Favorite time of the day would be Saturday morning knowing I dont have to be anywhere just at home with the family.
IF YOU WERE A SUPER HERO WHAT WOULD BE YOUR FAVORITE POWER?
I always wanted to fly. when I moved to Spain from Poland, I wanted to be able to fly back home and visit my friends.
WHICH FIVE PEOPLE LIVING OR DEAD WOULD BE AT YOUR DREAM DINNER PARTY?
A great dinner party: Nick Cave, Louie CK, Patti smith, Barack Obama and my late Grandfather Jozel.
ITS YOUR LAST MEAL ON EARTH, YOU CAN HAVE ANYTHING YOUR HEART DESIRES, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO EAT?
Maybe would have to be my Grandmas's Pierogies.
IF YOU COULD LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE WHERE WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
At this moment if I could live anywhere it would be in Mallorca. I fell in love with Spain when we lived there when I was 11. I love it because you can go very short distances but it feels like you are in a different country ... from architecture, to the art, to the people.
